Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Borough Local Plan (2013-2033) Submission version (Regulation 19)

Dear Sir/Madam,

Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Borough Local Plan Regulation 19
Representation Period Closing Date Extension

You will recall that we emailed you at the end of June advising you that the Council was publishing its Borough Local Plan 2013-2033 Submission Version and inviting representations on the Plan from interested parties between 30 June to 25 August 2017.

We have decided to extend the period for making Regulation 20 representations following queries from residents and local residents groups who were concerned that our earlier press releases and library communications about Regulation 19 did not accurately explain the procedure for making Regulation 20 representations.

The revised deadline for making representations will now be 5pm on Wednesday, 27 September 2017. By taking this step, the period for making representations on the Borough Local Plan 2013-2033 Submission Version, which we published on 30 June 2017, will now exceed 12 weeks.

The information contained in the email we sent you at the end of June 2017 continues to apply during the extended period for making representations; the only thing that has changed is the deadline for making representations.  A copy of that email is attached.

We would also refer you to:
  • The ‘Statement of Representation Procedure and Statement of Fact’;
  • The 'Representation Form Guidelines' which explain the purpose of Regulation 19 Publication and the scope and procedure for making Regulation 20 representations about the Borough Local Plan 2013-2033 Submission Version.
Copies of the above two documents are attached and are also available in hard copy at borough libraries and parish offices, or can be downloaded using this link: http://consult.rbwm.gov.uk/portal/blp/blpr19/blpr19?tab=files.

All representations on the Borough Local Plan 2013-2033 Submission Version must be received before 5pm on Wednesday 27 September 2017 using any of the methods outlined below.

·         Online through the consultation portal (http://consult.rbwm.gov.uk/portal/blp/blpr19/blpr19) where representations can be made against specific consultation points (e.g. chapters/maps etc.);
·         By emailing Planning Policy (blp@rbwm.gov.uk): a representation form (which is available to download from the website, or available in hard copy from libraries/parish councils), free text or a scanned written document;
·         By completing a representation form available from the libraries/parish councils and posting it to Planning Policy via the freepost address (FREEPOST RBWM PLANNING POLICY);
·         By sending letters to Planning Policy via the freepost address (FREEPOST RBWM PLANNING POLICY);
·         By calling the contact centre and asking them to record comments before sending these comments back to the resident for signing off and submitting.

Late representations will not be accepted.
If you have already made representations on the Borough Local Plan 2013-2033 Submission Version we thank you for doing so and assure you that your representation will be sent to the Secretary of State when we submit the Plan for independent examination.

If you wish to withdraw, amend, or supplement the representations you have already made, you are welcome to do before the extended deadline for making representations.
For more information about the Borough Local Plan or how to make representations please see www3.rbwm.gov.uk/blp

Yours faithfully,
