Vandalism on the Youth Club roof

Due to vandalism of the Youth Club roof, the Parish Council has taken action to try to prevent further damage. Someone has deliberately damaged the roof resulting in it leaking and is likely to cost hundreds of pounds to repair

We have had several reports of youths climbing onto the Youth Club roof and then onto the Gun Club roof. This is highly dangerous as the roofs are asbestos and are not built to take the weight of someone walking across them without the correct safety equipment. To try to prevent this we have applied anti-climb paint around the roof edges well out of reach of anyone who is not trying to climb on the roof. This is a non-drying grease type paint that apart from making climbing very difficult, will permanently stain any clothing it comes into contact with. Warning signs have been place on the building.
